GLSW Student is awarded High School Credits

March 2011:  After an evaluation of the GLSW program, one of our high school students, Elise Zinssmeister, has been awarded 10 language credits from Northern Highlands High School.

GLSW participates in Reading Contest

December 11, 2010:  Several of our students of varied ages participated in a reading contest sponsored by the German Government, held at the Goethe House in New York City.  The students read from their own chosen selection of material.

THE GERMAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL WESTWOOD RECEIVES AWARD FROM FOREIGN MINISTER OF GERMANY

November 2008:  The German Language School Westwood has been awarded the honor of being named a "Partner school". Select schools receive this designation. It is based on the schools ability to awaken young people's interest and enthusiasm for modern-day Germany and German Society as well as for academic excellence.

The German Consul General, New York City, Dr. Hans-Jürgen Heimsoeth, visited the German Language School Westwood on November 17, 2007.
