The school will march in the Steuben Day parade in New York City on September 20th, 2008. Seats on the bus are still available. Further information on signing up can be obtained on the first day of classes. The cost per seat on the bus is $20.

A joint US Congessional Resolution and an official proclamation by President Reagan made October German- American month, with October 6 as German Day. During the month we celebrate and honor the achievements of early immigrants who became strong supporters of their new country. The first settlers came from Krefeld, Germany, and arrived on Oct. 6 of 1683. They established their first settlement in Germantown, Pennsylvania.
Our school celebrates German - American friendship month with a German luncheon.
Celebrated with a traditional walk through town carrying lanterns for the younger students, followed by Weckmaenner, refreshments and singing at the school.
This year we will again hold the Weihnachtsmarkt, in which items the children have made will be sold. Each class will also perform a short skit or song.
Fasching (Karneval, Fastnacht, Fasnacht, Fasnet)
We celebrate Fasching with a one hour all-school party. There will be food, games and lots of fun.
